Parish Council Support Officer
Location: Portreath Parish Council Office & Community Hub
Hours: 504 annualised (approx. 42 hrs/month) – flexible working
Salary: LC1 (SCP 5–6)

We are looking for a Parish Council Support Officer to assist the Parish Clerk and help keep Portreath running smoothly.
This is an exciting, flexible part-time role supporting the Parish Council’s administration, communications, facilities, and community events.
Your Main Duties
Provide administrative support – meetings, agendas, minutes, and correspondence
Manage Parish Council records, website, and social media
Assist with community events and hub bookings
Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming community hub
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
Organised, adaptable, and friendly
Great at communication and teamwork
Confident with IT (Word, Excel, email, websites)
Community-minded with attention to detail
Willing to work occasional evenings or weekends
Experience in local government or community work is desirable but not essential — training will be provided.
